interview with Sir Allan Stanford last year on CNBC. "1st quarter of 2009 will be a rough time!" perhaps he knew something no one else knew?

Another ponzi scheme takes people by surprise
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/6266846.html
Will people ever learn that if it is too good to be true, that it probably is? Stanford Financial now seized by federal marshals. Unfortunate for the employees, because with frozen assets, how will they make payroll?

Houston's own Stanford Financial Group Enron 2?
seems like 15% returns on CDs seems a bit high! Didn't Bernie Madoff promise 13% returns? Seems like another collapse in the making. I feel sorry for all the Stanford employees in the Houston,Texas Galleria office.

Madoff to stay free on Bail
Uncle Bernie to stay in his luxury apartment. CNBC reports the Federal government hopes that by keeping him free he will disclose more evidence that might help the investors recoup additional monies. I say throw him in jail so he can be tazed, sleep on urine stained floors, and be abused by fellow prisoners! Even with all that it will not rise to the level of pain that the victims have incurred. Also, what are we communicating to our children? That it is ok to steal and you will not be punished?
